We offer one of the most comprehensive and established childcare careers training programmes in the childcare sector.

Whether you are just starting your childcare career, or are an experienced professional, we work with a range of training providers to further advance your career.

Work-based learning

This is ideal for staff who would prefer to earn a full salary whilst working towards their qualification, rather than going back to school or college environment. We offer work-based NVQ courses in level 2 and 3, with opportunities to progress on to level 4 or 5 in Child Care Learning and Development. We also offer Leadership and Management NVQ’s for those who may wish progress onto Room Leader, Deputy or Nursery Manager positions.

Candidates are assessed in the work place by their assessor, so there is no need to go back to college. The nursery teaches the foundation of childcare, and the candidates’ knowledge is underpinned by guidance from our own experienced staff, who mentor them throughout the learning process.

Do you hold a relevant degree?

We actively support eligible staff to increase their knowledge by taking the Early Years Teachers programme (EYT). Staff members who do not have a relevant degree are encouraged to take the foundation degree, with a view to consolidating it with a top-up EYT.

Our staff include people from all walks of life, from experienced childcare professionals, to students and grandparents happy to work just a few hours a week. Those who have a natural love of children and a warm, caring attitude make the best staff.
