This week will be jammed packed full of festive fun. On Monday we enjoy snow based around the children’s favourite themed – Frozen! We will be playing with ice and creating snow pictures and craft out of paper. Tuesday and Wednesdays will involve plenty of fun and games. Thursday children will enjoy the flavours of Christmas and finding out what their favourite food at Christmas time is! 14th – 18th December)

The annual Easter Bonnet Parade will take place at Lyneham Primary school on Wednesday 16th March. We look forward to seeing you there and seeing the wonderful bonnets created.

Concept Photography will be visiting Sunny Days this term taking children and family shots in the morning. Their photographs are beautiful and parents last year were really pleased.

On Friday 22nd July, Sunny Days Lyneham will be holding an open morning 9.00am until 12.30pm for new and prospective families to attend. There will be bubble making, arts and crafts and story sessions. Please let your friends and neighbours know so they can come along if they are interested in a space at Sunny Days and wish to register for a space for 2016/2017.

Sunny Days Lyneham will be having a stay and play session on Friday 2nd September from 9.30am until 11.30am. This would be a useful session for families that might be moving in over the summer holidays and wish to visit and register with us before the start of the new term on Monday 5th September. All members of the community are warmly invited to join a simple Community Act of Remembrance being held in the Remembrance Garden at Lyneham Primary school on 10th November, 10.45-11.15am. We will be taking some of the pre-school children across to join the service.

Key Person Meetings, Friday 11th November, Lyneham, 3.15 pm-5.15pm – an informal afternoon, offering you the opportunity to look through your child’s Learning Journal and talk with their key person. A sign-up sheet is displayed in each classroom, we have 15 minute appointments spread over the session to allow everyone the opportunity to come if they wish.

Help raise awareness for this year’s Children in Need on Friday 18th November at Lyneham. Come along with a splash of spots added to your outfit or bring along something spotty for the day. We will also be accepting small donations on the day.

The children at Lyneham have started making their owl decorations for the local Christmas Tree Festival (taking place this weekend (2nd to 4th) at St Michael’s Church.

Sunny Days Nursery, Lyneham have been invited to have a stall at the local primary school’s Christmas Fayre on Friday 9th December. We hope to create a snowball lucky dip and would appreciate donations of children’s sweets or small party bag toys for prizes. All money raised will be used to purchase new equipment for the children in the nursery.

Lyneham’s Christmas Play will be on Thursday 15th December. A letter will go out at the beginning of December to confirm the time. Every year is full of fun and cheer, we look forward to seeing you there.

We will be holding a Danceathon at Sunny Days Children’s Nursery, Lyneham and asking children to join the staff over the session to keep on dancing and joining in with action songs. The children are invited to come to school wearing red or their best Disco Dancing clothes. A collection pot will be on display in the hallway for any kind donations.

Craft Session 27th -31st March
We are inviting parents and carers to sign up and come along for a 20-30 minute craft session to create an Easter Bonnet or decoration. The pre-school will provide all of the materials.
During the session parents will also be able to view their child’s learning journal and catch up with their child’s key person.

Lyneham Primary school have invited the pre-school children to join them for an Easter Bonnet Parade on Tues 4th April, as part of their preparation for school in September.
We will be making bonnets at pre-school and practising Easter songs to sing. Pre-school parents are invited along to join in the event. Please let us know if you would like to help on the day to take the children to and from the school. If your child does not attend that session and would like to join in with the event, then you can meet us at the lower school hall at 9.10am, where your child will be able to join the other pre-school children in their seating area. We will also be holding a small parade in the garden that day so Busy Bug children can show off their creations too.

We will be finishing this term off with an Easter Egg hunt on the 7th April. We hope that the Easter Bunny may visit. We would love parents to come along and join the fun. More details to follow.

We also invite all pre-school children to join us at 11am if you would like them to be included in the keygroup photos with their friends and key person before they leave us for school. Last year’s group pictures were lovely and made a wonderful keepsakes; the photographs are beautiful.
