After School Club is full of creativity and fun!

We love to make after-school club a fun place for the children to be whilst continuing with their learning. The last couple of weeks we have worked with the children allowing them to initiate the activities they would like to do in the club. They had some great ideas and we have already had lots of fun trying them!

Firstly we made puffy paint- We mixed together shaving foam, PVA glue and paint to create a fantastic textured paint. The children had great fun creating various paintings. (The recipe for this can be found here.)

The second activity was treasure maps - we drew a route that would lead us to the treasure in the Sunny Days garden! We ripped the paper and stained them using tea-bags to make them look really old! The children had great fun making these and talking about how treasure maps would have been used hundreds of years ago!

We have also participated in lots of ‘Just dance’ tournaments on the Wii along with lots of other sports including ping-pong and football.
