Honouring the month of the military child

Being a nursery owner is more than just a job for me; it is an extension of my belief in the importance of family and community. As we celebrate the resilience of military children this month I wanted to share a picture of my two children when they were younger, Jemima (now 23) and Freddie (now 19) ✨ Before owning Sunny Days, I also served in the Army where I met my husband Steve, who served for 25 years. By the time this photo was taken we were embarking on our fourth house move as a family and third school for Jemima. From numerous house moves, separation due to operational tours and adapting to new schools, my children have shown incredible strength through it all.

This month at Sunny Days, we will be acknowledging the unsung heroes - military children. Just to remind you that tomorrow we are encouraging everyone to participate in ‘wear purple’ day! Whether you have a purple outfit or some accessories, please get involved if you can.
